advice on how to select the most appropriate bank. Training and assistance in the
reconciliation of the bank account to other financial systems used.
Using your own
School Accounting Package
The Schools Advisory Service will have reviewed some of the numerous packages
available and tested them in a number of Wakefield schools prior to
recommending the use of any particular package or packages.
Training and advice will then be offered in how to transfer current
records onto a new package and then on how to operate it.
The training and advice given will include the preparation of any
reports that the Council may require for budget monitoring purposes
or for the completion of statutory returns such as those relating to VAT.
