Holly Marshall

Holly joined Schools Advisory Service from a career established in public sector audit with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Holly gained a degree in International Business from Loughborough University and is a Chartered Accountant. Whilst not at work Holly dedicates her time to developing the education sector; being a Governor at Fountaindale Special School and mentoring a group at the University of Nottingham.
Holly's background in public sector finance places her in an excellent position to understand a school's concerns regarding budget certainty and value for money.

Peter Ohlsen

Peter has joined Schools Advisory Service from a background in teaching, after graduating from Reading University with a degree in History.
Peter is a keen traveller; spending time trekking up Mount Kilimanjaro in Kenya to a road trek of Europe (visiting ten countries in two months). During his time travelling, Peter has gained experiences that changed his outlook on the world, although he still only knows ten words in most languages he encountered.

After graduating from Lancaster University with a degree in Business Management and Organisation, Helen went to work as an Education Consultant for a leading supply agency. In this role she provided consultative advice and also helped to assist schools manage all their staffing needs within the constraints of their budgets. Helen has worked across the Primary, Secondary and SEN sectors and has an advanced understanding of many issues currently impacting upon schools.

Chris Johnson

Chris joined Schools Advisory Service having spent 3 years living in France and working in e-commerce. After graduating from the University of York with a degree in Chemistry Chris is now looking to establish himself in the insurance industry, finding it challenging and constantly evolving. Having become a Governor at a local school Chris is also keen to develop his knowledge of how schools operate and where the decisions are made.
When not at work Chris enjoys skiing, cycling and is still perfecting his French language skills.

Mark Smith

Mark joined Schools Advisory Service after graduating from the University of Sheffield, with a BA Honours in Business Management. Mark is an enthusiastic and hard-working individual, and was attracted to Schools Advisory Service for their similar ethic in providing an exceptional service to schools.
Outside of the office Mark is an aspiring cook, and a keen footballer, although self admittedly one who talks a better game than he plays.

Tom Plastlow

Tom graduated this summer from the University of Leicester with a BA Honours in History.
Tom enjoys running, having completed a half marathon in 2010, and is aiming to do continue this with 10k races over the next few months. Tom also enjoys playing football and badminton in his spare time.

Laura has entered into a career of staff absence insurance with Schools Advisory Service after several years of experience in different sectors of insurance including car, home and fraud investigation. Laura has established a thorough understanding of a client’s needs and expectations of their insurers, and is eager to bring this experience to SAS.
