£10,000 donation to Shelterbox
Schools Advisory Service donated £10,000 in 2011 and Les Marshall visited their headquarters in January to see
firsthand what amazing work is carried out by Shelterbox.
Les Marshall Stated "It was truly an eye opener to what
terrific work is carried out by the staff and their volunteers to assist people who have lost everything following
a natural disaster. I did not realize the amount of organizing, coordinating and hard work required to ensure
their Boxes reach the people in those disaster zones. It was very clear that every penny donated is spent wisely
and efficiently to maximize the effectiveness of money given by donors, having the opportunity to hear of their
work in Haiti, Turkey and Japan I must congratulate Shelterbox on doing some amazing work in helping people
survive in such appalling situations".
